“It is not how much we give but how much love you put into giving.” Saint Mother Teresa of Calcutta
Dreams Do Come True
The year was 2017 and the location was Guatire, Miranda State in Venezuela. My dear friend Carmen Maria Rincon had finally realized her lifelong dream: creating a foundation to attend to the needs of children and young adults with disabilities.
From the beginning, FundAFID provided therapies and promoted a culture of inclusion. Every day more ideas and projects were added to the calendar.
The humanitarian crisis in Venezuelan was deepening. It became necessary to enable a mechanism to guarantee the continuity of this important work.
FundAFID Foundation was born to generate awareness about the harsh reality faced by children with disabilities in Venezuela and to open a door to enable international support.
